Abaren / Bakuren Dino Sisters

BakurenOh (バクレンオー) is the combined form of the two feared Bakuryuu,  CarnoRyutus (カルノリュータス) which is based on the dinosaur Carnotaurus and ChasmoShieldon (カスモシールドン) based on the Chasmosaurus. 

These two wicked Bakuryuu originally tried to turn Dino Earth (the alternate Earth where the dinosaurs never became extinct and evolved into the Bakuryuu) into an icy wasteland.  They were defeated, sealed and banished to Another Earth (our world).  They were freed thanks to the machinations of an extra-dimensional rogue named Galvidi.  Once freed, they set a course of Tokyo, intent on freezing Another Earth.  They were defeated in their combined form by the AbaRangers in AbarenOh but returned again after being freed once more by the Evolions in one of their final gambits.

These two Bakuryuu appeared first in the movie Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger:  DELUXE: Abare Summer is Freezing Cold! and then again in episode 48 of the TV series.

On a side note, I absolutely love the color scheme of these two, especially in combined mode.  It reminds me of the colors used on a lot of late Generation 1 Decepticons like Darkwing, Dreadwind and Overlord.

A team of two, as mighty as a blizzard

For some time now, I've been itching to write a fan-fiction. Now that you saw the word "fan", you're probably wondering as to what I'm a fan of so much that I just have to create some sort of expanded-universe type story? Well, its Power Rangers Dino Thunder of course! (as if anyone was going to get this anyways haha)

"But Jeffrey, I saw Dino Thunder! It ended well, all the characters returned to their normal lives! Everything was resolved!".  Well sir or ma`am, my story isn't expanding upon the team that was on television, I'm aiming to create a brand new team of 2. A new team based solely upon a megazord that appeared briefly for about..a few seconds at the most in Dino Thunder.

"Replicant Zord" or "Bakurenoh" as that was his proper Japanese name, was only created to bring in some extra profit for the Japanese toy company "Bandai". The robot had more of a focus in the Japanese movie "Abaranger Deluxe". He was called forth to bring about the second ice age. Now how ironic is that; the ice age that killed off any of the remaining dinosaurs is something brought on BY robotic dinosaurs.

This is their scene in the Japanese movie, so you can get an idea as to what their role was.

I suppose you're thinking that in the fan-fiction I'm writing, they're going to be good? They could be, they could be not. Perhaps there will be bumps in the road that causes them to do things certainly not considered good or bad.

I beleive everyone is good and bad, it depends on where your views stand. Not everyone in the Star Wars universe thought Darth Vader was bad, only the ones who didn't support the empire's political structure or the followings of the Jedi knights. Of course, that'd be a minority in the "real world" sense but inside the universe of the movies, there'd be millions of supporters spread across worlds whos control has been influenced by the empire.

I want to go more than just "put words together and expect people to visualize everything". I want to help the reader establish a visualization of what every villain, weapons, vehicle, and character is going to look like. This means my (and perhaps a friend's) artistic ingenuity is going to be put to the test.

Establishing plot points, character backgrounds, plot twists are some of the things I'm really looking forward to create and sharing with each and everyone one of you. I'll be sure to post my updates over the course of this endeavor. As well, I'm more than open to any ideas/comments/recommendations that you guys have and are willing to share with me to implement into the story!
