Baldegg Monastery (1968-72) in Hochdorf, Switzerland, by Marcel Breuer & Beat Jordi Built in 1972 this monastery is one of the most beautiful sacral buildings in Europe. It is still managed by the same order of sisters that comissioned this project from Breuer in the sixties, and they continue to preserve all the original details of the building including furtiture Bruer made especially for them. They left the majority of the building in original state Breuer envisioned it. In later years sisters from the convent worked with Breuers son concerning repairs and remodeling parts of the monastery, so that it would stay as close to the original design as possible.
