We have done our first Stabilised Rammed Wall. When we were starting our build our neighbour, Chris, asked what material we wanted to use for the new boundary fence, then he suggested rammed earth. Why of course we would jump at that! We used recycled concrete from Boral St Peter’s to keep our embodied energy down, a bit of river sand and cement 8:1:1 mix. The results are great - it was a day though. Our mixer had an arm ripped off so we ended up mixing all the materials dry in the back of the tip truck and with any Inner West Build we had to get creative with access - thank you to Hank and JJ for letting us pull out their fence so we could get access from 2 doors up! Big effort for everyone involved but well worth the effort! #certifiedpassivehouse #certifiedpassivehousebuilder #balmainbuilder #builderbalmain #passivhaus #passivehouse #passivehousebuilder #passivehousesydney #passivehousebalmain #passivehouseannandale #hempcrete #hempcretebuilder #builderinnerwest #sustainablebuilder #masterbuilder #greenbuilder #rammedearth #sydneybuilder #passivesolar #birchgrovebuilder #solarenergy #solarpanels #heatpump #renovation #nontoxic #childfriendly #teslapowerwall #blowerdoortest #hrv (at Balmain, New South Wales, Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpbBI5phVRF/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
