What do you dislike about The Lighthouse? No judgement, just curious!
It’s just a straight man using oOoOooH homoeroticism these men might KISSSSS 😳😳😳😳😳 as a cheap gimmick. You could argue it’s a potential outlet for the two straight men being sexually frustrated but there’s already enough of that with all of the annoying wet dreams involving the mermaid who only exists to show her boobs and pussy. Like as someone who loves gay subtext I’ve never seen it used so superficially before it was annoying. And other than that I just felt that the whole thing was soooooo pointless. The Blaring Horns and the aspect ratio and black and white felt like the director was just pulling visual cues from every other arthouse horror he’s seen rather than finding his own voice, and all of it amounted to nothing. I was just bored and annoyed the entire time especially since i made the mistake of paying to see it in theaters when i could’ve watched pain and glory.

19. Did you use your library?
Yes! My library was actually closed for a couple months during the initial lockdown, which was unfortunate. But thankfully, they were able to open back up with enhanced safety precautions, and I was able to start checking out books again.
Two of the books I read this year were library books: The Chaos of Standing Still and Love & Olives. Normally, I would have just bought Love & Olives, since it is the third in the series and I already have the first two. But the other ones are in paperback (one is actually an ARC) and I hate having mismatched sets. So I decided to just get it from the library for now and I will buy it once it comes out in paperback!
(I also used my library to borrow Beetlejuice on DVD just in time for Halloween. It was so good, and I’m glad I finally got around to watching it!)

Is there a movie that you could watch over and over again and not get tired?
As a kid, that was Lilo and Stitch, Wreck-It Ralph, and The Adventures of Tintin. I don’t really rewatch things now; barely have the time to watch new things haha. For now, I’ll go with Forrest Gump, which I’ve seen 3x!
