Warnings: None, but if you're not into being squeezed or constricted (lovingly mind you, but still), this may not be for you!
-------------------------
Nothing could make you feel more loved than to come home after a long day, and spend time with your closest friend. Others would spend their time on the couch, while a few would go out and party in the streets until the sun rise once again. None of that appealed to you, but rather something even greater.
Nothing could compare to a hug after a stressful day from someone you loved. Nothing could beat the sensation of your body relaxing in an embrace. Best part? You could look forward to this every day. Every night. Whenever you asked really.
Edgar would always provide that comfort.
You weren't sure how it started, but it grew with his fascination to do more around the house than just brew coffee or attempt to boot up solitare. It evolved from a single wire, a thin scarlet wire that curled about. You liked how it wrapped around your finger. Over time, it grew into something more and before long, Edgar had gained mastery over his own components in such a way that whenever you sat down in your trustee stool, he'd give his version of a hug, and while a bit odd, it never failed to put a smile on your face.
Tonight was no exception.
"Oh Eddie...." An exhausted huff as you sat down, work bag clattering hard against the wooden floor. You could still hear the incessant chatter of your co-workers, the headache throbbing behind your eyes. You let your forehead thump unceremoniously on the desk, the familiar sensation of a filament wiggling up your arm. "Why do I keep doing this?" Why did you keep working day in and day out without an ounce of appreciation? Expected to pick up the slack for every shortcoming not your own. You just wanted to feel like you were worth a damn. "I'm so tired." You let it trail off into a whisper. Silence decended in the room before his voice chirped in.
Always the gentleman he was, asking before doing anything with you or around the house. It was another reason why you liked him so much. Upon feeling your nodding, he begins humming. His fan whirred soothingly as one by one, wires slithered out of his vents and went upon you. Around your legs, your arms. Your torso, your neck. You looked like a mummy as the rows of reds and greens, yellows and whites constricted you as much as his abilities would allow. Sometimes he'd tease you about how he could feel your heart race and wonder if more would calm it down.
You really loved his gentle touch.
He was aware of this, and loved to cover you with as much as he could without accidently short-circuiting himself from strain. Curled around your ears, poked at your lips in his form of a kiss. Wiggled across your cheek like fingers, curled under chin as if tilting your head up. Sometimes you wondered just how much media he was consuming to learn such intimate gestures. Your eyes slid shut as the first tear fell, quite wrapped up. Even through all the shit, he would always provide. You felt like you didn't deserve such kindness.
"Thank you, Eddie." His bit-crushed beep in response made you smile.
