July 9, 2010. Grind and growth videos continued! Yo if there’s a time when I struggle in class, it’s in Bam’s class haha. The time it takes for me to adjust to his speed is turtle-like but these are the classes I found myself to grow most in. Definitely didn’t get this kind of pace and style in Houston back in the day (neither do we now) but this week long intensive with Bam was a necessity to my learning. If I didn’t already know how to be quick on my feet and explode with my upper body - I did after this week haha. I remember Bam specifically saying this was his first time teaching a buck piece. I mean going through the class and watching him teach and do his piece it felt like he started out his dance career teaching buck pieces lol, but man this style is truly missed. It’s been a minute since I learned from you brotha! Lookin forward to the next time! And look at these baddies I’m dancing next to! Shoutout to all of y’all (@chachigonzales @phvka @wontuanxsoup @kebboom ). Dang Chachi is the young Jedi warrior in this video. We all lookin super young lool. Choreography: @Bam_Martin #BamMartin #BamMartinChoreography Repost from my previous post: Since we’re all self-quarantining I’ve been taking it upon myself to look through all of my old stuff to look back and self-reflect. I think there are more videos of my choreography and performances on social media as opposed to videos of me in the process of grind and growth. I’m gonna post a video a day to give tribute to some of my favorite classes that I’ve taken thus far and I can only go back as far as 2010 (even though my training took place way before that haha).
