You know those images of anime screenshots of students in classrooms and one of them have wildly different hair, demarking them as the main character?

I wasn't expecting much from Kirby Air Rider's story mode. This character receives like 2-3 fates worse than death one after another.
If I created manga for Shonen Jump, I'd create an isekai-like called "I Must Prove My Worth In The Dungeon But My Mangaka Hates Women" and it's a comedy shonen where the girl protagonists has to deal with a world where all her male friends get boons and power scaling but not the girls.

Yugioh is, from the outside looking in, objectively the funniest media property.
The whole thing started as a horror manga with the premise of a young kid solving an ancient Egyptian puzzle and unknowingly gaining an alter ego of an ancient pharaoh who punishes, tortures and kills evildoers after challenging them to games that feed on their hubris. Pretty normal so far, except the mangaka gave the protagonist the wackiest hairstyle ever conceived by man.
But then one of the games featured, an homage of Magic the Gathering, becomes so popular with readers that the mangaka pivots and eventually reboots the series to be about the card game. But also the ancient Egyptian puzzle pharaoh alter ego is still part of the series, minus the killing. And the card game gets tied into ancient Egypt.
While the protag in this new reboot has rivals and villains that also tie into magic and ancient lineages, his main rival is a billionaire obsessed with card games and being the best at card games. The corporation he inherited used to do arms manufacturing but he pivoted it to card games, which somehow worked. He singlehandedly advances the technology level of the world with satellite-connected hologram card readers and buys islands and towers just to blow them up to prove something. His character development is minimal. He goes from fighting the protagonist to fighting the protagonist if a greater evil isn't running around.
He starts a school exclusively about the card game. One of the students there had his made-up fan-cards shot into space and were turned into real cards. One of the cards was a fiercely protective intersex spirit that became a yandere because of space radiation. After that, it becomes a dystopian future with class disparity lower and upper halves, with that becomes a battle against reincarnated pre-Incan dualists who they will face with card games on motorcycles. And then other further future stuff involving different dimensions, cyberspace and others.
Meanwhile, the actual cardgame itself becomes unrecognizable. While the card designs start out uniformly dark and gnarly monster, spellcasters, dragons and demons, with most monster just being beatsticks, cards begin to be stuff with more effects, and more effects, and new types of special cards, and the art becomes more and more ununiformed, going into wildly different styles by archetype. Also they start telling their own stories through the card art that, some of which involve heroes battle robot knights that become evil possessed mythical creatures that corrupt and kill the main girl, so one of the heroes ressurect ancient instrument technology to try and ressurect her, only for that to go wrong and the other hero needing to save him. This is, of course, a story that's completely disconnected from the story of the lesbian VTubers who are high-profile thieves as a dayjob. The cards become so packed with effects that not only it's possible to defeat your opponent in a single turn, it's expected for your deck to do that, and is objectively terrible if it cannot do that.
In the end what we have is a card game that lasts for 2-3 super long turns where a deck themed after anime mermaids versus bigfoot and his cryptid buddies. All this from a edgy murder manga with dumbest hair syndrome.
