Andean Elders is a song written from the ingredients of wisdom offerings from the elders that we received in Maras, Sacred Valley Peru at Andean research Institute (ARI) on one of our pilgrimages there withĀ Marti Spiegelman.Ā All of the proceeds from the single go to ARI and its important work there and in North America. Some powerful and direct wisdom teachings from the song say āDo what you love and do it right nowā and āits not too late to turn it aroundā The elders gift us their wisdom so that we can utilize it, grow it, evolve it with purpose and intent.
The Elders say the Eagle and Condor will fly again. And part of that evolution means gifting their wisdom to North Americans to evolve for our present time and challenges.
The cover art of Bandarikin represents the Apus (mountain spirits) and the Eagle and Condor connected as one, meeting in our hearts ā the place where earth and sky come together. The United States claims the eagle as its talisman or spirit animal relating to freedom. However, the eagle presided over North America eons before the US claimed it. So, since it is our symbol, Itās important that we call upon the ORIGINAL SOURCE and embodiment in Indigenous knowings. What if we let the sacred ancient wisdom of that collide with our understanding of that source of wisdom and allow it to teach and inform us of the light unfolding in our world now? Yes, in truly honoring the Eagle, its origin, who we do not own, we are free to embody vision, the place where earth and sky meet in our hearts, in our bones, with the knowing of our million year old selves. We reconnect with the Eagle, and we call on the Condor. Our extraordinary times require extraordinary vision.
Bandarikin is getting some great reviews;
Bandarikin digs in deep with lots of questions about country and loyalty to country. Ā On her soul-stirring Anthem "Red White and Blue," Linda Stonestreet is in fine storysinging form! She wraps her emotion-soaked voice around lyrics that urge us toĀ let go of hatredĀ and won't let your heart go.
"Red White and Blue
Let our colors ring through
From the sound of the music
That's carried us through..."Ā Indeed!
Linda has a powerful voice that digs down deep into the human condition. Strength and depth are the calling cards she uses to move us to action.

I enjoyed the rich vocals and honest songwriting/storytelling. The blend of harmonies and instruments are beautiful.
Listening to the album I was led to look at what is our authentic relationship to our country? The poignant pull of what we were raised to believeā¦the changes weāve seen⦠and what it means to be patriotic now. That was its effect for me, anyway!
I love "In Right Relations"..āweāre healing from the inside outā¦dreaming reconciliationā.
This album continues, with diverse styles from Heart nurturing songs to lift the spirit and calm the mind to rhythmic grooves to Americana/folk style tunes.
American Anthem is a love song to America..really nice. Overall I'm really enjoying the music...with a few surprising turns.Ā Amazon customer
