It was wonderful to watch. Please don’t worry about it being a bit rough and tumble. It’s all part of learning. Elephants. A keystone species for 100s of creatures....It’s a simple fact, we need them to walk this Earth. Many animals are copraphagic. This means to eat another animal’s dung. It’s a new word for me too! I like the term I read - “dung diners”; elephants support the diet habits of many beetles, birds, butterflies and insects and animals too, it’s the dung diners club hosted by elephants! Even baby elephants eat the mother’s dung as they transition from milk to solids. It has enzymes which supports the baby elephant’s digestion placing good bacteria in their stomachs. #elephants #elephantlove #bantrophyhunting #banivory #banivoryworldwide #africa #Asia #asianelephant #africanelephant #backpackers #wanderlust #ivorybelongsonelephants #botswana #botswanatourism https://www.instagram.com/p/B2tM_P8oCJV/?igshid=7v9cft3j7f5p
