Yeah, I figured. Sigh. She was so great in the episode IMO, it’s a shame that parts of fandom just don’t want to give her a chance.

yeah! i really don't understand how people are calling her "bland" or going with another extreme and saying that the show was portraying her as "ms perfect that everybody loves!!!11!!" just not liking her for the fact that she's not prentiss is the most ridiculous i've seen so far. of course she's not prentiss; if she were just like prentiss, it would've been horrible.

i thought they did the best job of introducing her that they could and i'm excited to learn more about her, not to mention the fact that omg jeanne is an incredible actress. this is the first time i've really ever seen her act and i thought she was fantastic.

Hi! I really admire your blog and I totally agree with you that many of the things BC has said have been atrocious, classist, ableist or sexist. He's behaving like a massive tool, no doubt about it. But this tendency in parts of fandom to make fun of his appearance or of his name? That's mean-spirited bullying IMO. And it has nothing to do with criticizing the offensive and ignorant things he says.

Somehow I think he will survive.

More seriously: the tendency of people to make fun of how he looks is less about him than it is about mocking fandom's obsession with (and obsession with shipping) middlingly-attractive white male actors and characters over almost everyone else who has ever been in anything ever. That's more than valid.

Also, I gotta say: if you complain incessantly about how ~haaaard~ it is to be so posh, and are just generally a giant classist asshole, then I pretty much consider making fun of your posh name to be fair game.
