( song of achilles // accepting ) TALAS [ @bardluck ] WROTE: ‘guess what I’m thinking about.’
CASSANDRA SIGHED. HER SHIELD RANG dully as she laid it against the cliff face and drank from her waterskin. She supposed she should be grateful their trek across the Storm Coast had been uneventful, but mostly she was bored out of her skull. Had the landscape at least been pleasant, she would not have minded, but freezing rain and sopping mud was not her idea of scenic. She was just bored enough to entertain the bard's game. Either that or start in on the next canticle in the Chant and see how many blasphemous alterations Sera could invent before they both lost their patience.
❝Mud?❞ There was a wry quirk to her lips. ❝I cannot imagine being able to think of anything else.❞ She knocked her heel back against the cliff, and a pile of it the size of a baby nug sloughed onto the ground.
❝At least give me a hint.❞ She sized him up. He didn't seem like a complicated person. ❝I'll have it in under three guesses — and that first one doesn't count.❞
