Brave is an amazing movie omg. Touched a lot of personal issues for me . When I got home from the movies I went and gave my mum a big hug. u_u

what was special for me is that i went to see it with my mum and i got recently diagnosed w/ anxiety at the time and she was pushing through that which was difficult for her and made our relationship sour a bit because she didn't really understand a lot of it. but to see the relationship between merida and her mum evolve throughout the movie even though it was negative at the beginning was really reassuring and uplifting for me

i also relate to merida a lot (not JUST her hair bare with me for a second) but her overall personality i just aspire to be like that? and i told my mum about that after we watched the movie and she said "you can be brave too. and whenever you feel like you can't i'll be here for you." and it was so special to hear that from her and so i really hold the movie in a special place in my heart now. we still watch it together sometimes and we always both cry at the end when elinor hugs merida after she turns back into a human
