i've bitched about Shadows of Starlight - and i will bitch about it again - but i really liked Boolan and his whole deal.
Marchion recognizes his name (presumably his only name? he's only ever referred to as Boolan) - from where? Marda's memoirs i suppose, or maybe the actual Marda is literally for real speaking to him? does he keep tabs on all the known Path survivors?
i would assume Marchion knows of Boolan's unethical science career but wouldn't it be really funny if he just went, an ithorian named boolan was one of the culty children my ancestor spoke of. no way that kid grew up normal. recruitment time!
does Boolan's little posturing to Marchion imply some further history with Marda post-Dalna?
if not then he's straight up bullshitting right? boolan honey you don't know your insane teen babysitter and her people better than most. you probably didn't even witness any of the fucked up shit she did while you were in her care still!
