#saturdaymood continues lol, let’s talk #barrelpicks. Seems like everyone and their mother is now doing them including me, and these are not cheap to do, to commit to an entire #whiskey barrel. You pretty much have to buy the entire #whiskeybarrel in one shot , as opposed to buying it by the case as you need. Also who is picking the barrel, are they an expert #bourbon or #ryewhiskey picker, can their palette pick up notes etc blindtasting? OR is just plain marketing for the #liquorstore footing the bill for the barrel? I am going to lean with #marketing as the benefit to the ones with online stores is huge, if the personality they use on the #bourbonwhiskey has followers that BUY whiskey, then they will probably look in the stores online store and buy other stuff too. The only barrel picks I have ever enjoyed other then my own of course 🤪, are the #binnys ones, the #sevengrand picks, and the #bourbonpursuit ones. But I think that is because I consider the pickers experts in their field. What your thoughts my friends, are barrel picks now like #oprahquotes , you get a whiskey and you get a whiskey 😂. Last note for the #fourrosesbourbon barrel pick we had 7 barrels to choose from with the late #alyoung and we were there for a little over 3 hours, the #makersmark barrel pick took 6 hours, and the #elijahcraig one we had 3 barrels and were in and out in 45 minutes 🙈@binnysbev @bourbonpursuit @sevengrandsdwhiskeysociety @sevengrandsd . . . . . . #marketingstrategy #yougetawhiskeyandyougetawhiskey #singlebarrelpick #singlebarrelbourbon #singlebarrelwhiskey #makersprivateselect #privateselectbarrel #whiskeymarketingschool #barrelpicking #whiskeygram #whiskygeek #whiskylover (at Pacific Beach, San Diego) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8Un-LVjl9P/?igshid=zb53k68vahqn
