Happy 70th in heaven Arthur! Arthur Russell, Allen's kitchen, east 12th Street, New York City, December 22, 1990. Allen and Arthur had met in 1971 when Barry Miles auditioned Arthur for a recording session in San Francisco for Allen's William Blake Songs of Innocence and Experience, Volume 2. They remained friends and collaborated often ever since. Arthur lived upstairs from Allen starting in the mid 1970s. Audika Records has just released a new collection of 19 tracks,  Iowa Dream, featuring a whole range of Russell's work officially out now.
