Poor Boy began writing lyrics in 2007 to mixed instrumentals that were found on sites like Soundclick and Youtube. He promotes Former Bad Boy Entertainment artists and uploads various Video Game Clips to boost ratings for his channel. Poor Boy amasses a total of 2 million views on YouTube, 13k Clicks on Soundcloud, and a Twitter with over 170k Followers. https://soundcloud.com/poorboyftw
Poor Boy owns a Website under JurzeeDee.com. His initial belief was that uploading HIS content to HIS website would render third-party sites like YouTube and Metacrawler unable to manipulate his rights to his content. YouTube is still his primary website of choice, however the long term results to uploading a musicians contents to third-party sites, such as YouTube, is "damning, to say the least", he says. https://twitter.com/jurzeedee
Poor Boy has some accolades including endorsements (online) from Vanilla Ice, Necro and Black Rob, some of Hip-Hops most polarizing figures. There is 1 music video of Poor Boy doing a cameo appearance on Doktor Rokit's "Big Fun". His role (Then L Da Vice) was to play Doktor Rokit's best friend and meet up at the Club. You won't be hearing Poor Boy's voice as He was not required to sing. The video never received critical acclaim, but did act as a catapult for both artist's to gain wider recognition. https://www.youtube.com/c/jurzeedee7o3
Today, Poor Boy has become an avid Livestreamer. The basis for his videos seems more therapeutic and as if he isn't ready for the camera. An improvisational approach. He is still producing music the same way he did then. Except now there are less intricate written lyrics and more of a freestyle non-linear technique. "To write" he says "seems so restraining and as if I am racing against myself to complete the song at hand, like a Sonic The Hedgehog game. One way in, one way out. And to me that is not always called for with every song. Leave the structure behind you and free your mind." Poor Boy did not always have this outlook, however. There was a time he considered freestyling to be a cop-out for not completely writing a song. But a freestyle, he explains, can potentially be even more original sounding than a written, linear, story-based song. https://www.facebook.com/LDaVice/
