emi  would  suppose  this  is  payback  —  last  time  it  had  been  her  behind  the  wreckage  after  all.  still,  who  is  she  if  not  ready  to  shift  blame  when  left  alone  at  a  bar  to  watch  her  date  storm  off.  “you  can't  keep  doing  this,”  she  chides,  arms  crossing  over  chest  and  narrowing  her  eyes.  if  she  were  a  good  person,  she'd  probably  be  chasing  after  her  date  right  now.  instead,  she's  rooted  beside  a  familiar  face  and  stuck  wondering  what  was  a  game  and  what  wasn't.  “you're  buying  me  a  drink.”

when  cut  and  break  is  called  —  which  undoubtedly  will  extend  beyond  the  usual  five  minutes  after  a  camera  mishap  leaves  the  crew  on  a  technical  pause,  leo  finds  himself  slipping  away  from  air.  except  instead  of  silence,  he's  met  with  a  familiar  face.  it's  unsurprising,  great  minds  think  alike  and  they'd  been  best  friends  for  far  too  long  to  not  fall  into  the  same  habits.  “get  a  coffee  with  me?”  he  asks,  desperately  trying  to  pretend  they  hadn't  just  made  out  for  the  span  of  seven  takes.
