"Why haven’t you proposed to me yet?"

Sometimes he thought it was acceptable to linger after he’d arrive; would find a place within the house while she was occupied with her activities and simply watch her until he determined he was bored of simply observing and finally spoke. There were times where he did startle her, but over the course of time, Liv had grown accustomed to his presence almost sensed it even when he did not speak or call for her.
Today had been one of those occasions. She’d been attempting to paint but seemed to be failing miserably. Regardless of her success at the task, it was known she lost track of time and space once she picked up a painting brush.
❝ It’s getting creepy —— you sneaking up on me like this.❞
And not a moment later did he appear before her, trademark smirk in place as he looked down on her, only interrupting his studies to observe her work. It was obvious Klaus disapproved, most likely had to make himself not cringe. And then he turned his gaze towards her once again, demanded to know why she had not yet proposed. He often stated she made it obvious how much he meant to her, first by keeping a supply of his favorites around, then by taking up painting… The girl no longer knew if he said such things because he was confident in the truths behind them, or because he sought reassurance on her end.
Olivia never doubted what she felt but, because Klaus held back on her, she did the same and neither seemed to push the other until now. Damn hybrid.
❝ I was waiting for you to grow a pair and ask me. You know how the song goes, Klaus: if you like it ——- ❞
She held up her left hand, free of rings on all fingers, a look far to innocent to be genuine on her face.
