Basil Hayden Red Wine Cask Finish
Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
A very interesting bourbon. Not only does finishing in red wine casks give it a lovely dark ruby colour, it has a much longer, fruitier finish. Quite different from the standard BH, and really quite delightful.
It's National Bourbon Day! My wife and sons can trace their ancestry back to Basil Hayden so I'll drink to that.

Sunday night bourbon. I like bourbon but I definitely prefer scotch; bourbon is a touch sweet for me.
