Had a wonder time yesterday afternoon hanging with my long-time friend and fellow @scottsbasslessons contributor, the great Ed Friedland - @mrquarternote - Ed is a hugely versatile and experienced bassist, currently touring with The Mavericks. I couldn't make it to the gig, so was delighted to get to see the soundcheck - they're a fabulous band, and Ed anchors their blend of American roots music, Latin styles and cajun grooves with his fantastic tone, feel and restrained tasteful lines.
