Bacteria cell lysis . In this video I resuspended the bacteria pellet and added lysis buffer which turns blue as the cells are lysed. Then added precipitation buffer and this made the blue colour disappear and the solution become cloudy as proteins precipitate. Toward the end of the video you can see the cell debris moving to the top of the supernatant which has the plasmid DNA. .
