Batman: Bad Blood is actually wonderful.
[MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD]
I don't get why people don't like Nightwing in this one. Okay, he was too easy to take down, and he deserves better cuz he's certainly a strong and capable hero in his own right. But even then, infamous broken shoulder and all, he KEPT FIGHTING. Yes, self preservation, yes, he was trying to get through to/save Bruce, but his willpower is stronger than a lot of heroes to have a whole broken shoulder (an integral part of his powerless, acrobatic, escrima-using fighting style) and keep going. Love this guy.
ALSO, the absolute SERVE we got with him being the one to bring Bruce back from Tetch's and Talia's mind manipulation??? It was incredible???
Bruce pointing the gun to himself bc he was programmed to kill SOMEONE, so he'd rather kill himself than Damian (the current target) or Dick (the previous and next target)? Bruce tells Dick, "I can't fight it," and Dick says, "Yes, you can, damn it! For the little boy who lost his world in that alley." And Dick can't see that behind him, Talia is about to strike him Dead-Dead with her sword, and Bruce saves DICK. He doesn't shoot at Talia for himself. He doesn't shoot at Talia for the little boy who lost his world in that alley. He shoots at Talia for Dick. The little boy who lost his own world in the circus, whom Bruce took in and raised and loved, who is standing in front of him about to die-- Dick is his world. And Bruce isn't going to lose his world again.
