“WELL,  I’M  LOOKING  AT  YOU.  unless  my  eyes  are  doing  a  weird  thing.“  which,  considering  how  he  had  taken  a  beating  a  few  days  ago,  it  very  well  could  be  doing  exactly  that.  he  shifts  in  the  bed,  elbows  pushing  him  against  the  headboard  and  he  might  regret  it  later,  but  he  is  trying  to  show  that  he  is  fine  moving  around.  “and  the  matter  is  that  you  are  there,  when  you  could  be  here  with  me.  you  know?  it’s  a  big  bed.  great  one.“  he  teases  through,  hand  patting  the  empty  side  of  the  bed,  and  he  can’t  help  but  to  flirt  through.  “or  are  you  still  mad  at  me?“

LIFE HAD A FUNNY WAY OF WORKING, DIDN’T IT? people were born with amazing abilities, or they trained to become a myth, or they got a stupid piece of jewlery from space and got possessed by a big flea-dragon-thing. the later wasn’t as fun as being born with laser vision , carol had to assume. but having just a regular lunch with someone she knew without it getting ruined by an alien invasion? that might be the funniest thing in her life yet.     ❛ you sound like my therapist, y’know that? ❜      she chuckles and pats the blonde’s shoulder.       ❛ that’s a compliment. she’s a lovely lady. ❜

       “ i’m just enjoying the show. ” if she thought she needed help, she would’ve jumped in to help as quickly as possible. but it was obvious the blonde didn’t need any help from anyone pretty early on, so carol just sat there with a smile that grew over time.

        ‘ mm... not really. i’m watching this thingy on the tv box, i think it’s called friends. ‘ zinda stretched her legs out on the couch, eyes flickering from the static-y image on the screen to her nightly visitor. it was her night off from the hero business but figures that she still wouldn’t be able to get to sleep when she had the time. visitors weren’t common though, given most usually reported back to the clocktower. ‘ have fun? ‘
