I thought batwheels couldnt get any better and then Razzle Dazzle Frazzle came along. You know what that means, im gonna write yet another rant about how AWESOME this show is
I love that the episodes focused on Wing, in this episode the Batwheels are doing a talent show bc they want MOE's new glitter paint and Wing feels like her act isnt enough, so she tries to spice her act up, but ruins it, cuz she kinda forgets to be herself.
1, props to this episode for showing male characters, in this case even little boys, wanting to wear pink glitter paint. Its always good to break some stereotypes
2 Bamacadabra is a whole ass pinterest board and Buff was SO CUTE with Ace 😭
3, there is Wings ordeal with being herself and feeling like she isnt doing enough.
"My act is not as fancy as theirs. Am i doing enough? I'm just flying around. How can i win sparkle paint without some sparkle in my act." Why are there not more shows like this out there come the hell on
Batwings development is happening slowly. I love how much time they take with especially her. She, to me, seems like the oldest of the group, Bam is canonically the oldest, but Wing feels like that teenager that seeks individuality and tries to proof she's responsible amd capable, wich is what she does in the show all the time. She's finding herself, she's figuring herself out, she's developing her identity. She's a growing child. Its depicted SO well. Batwing has had some very significant development and learns a lot throughout season two. Yk, she gets older and she's learning more.
The batwheels are so realistic, i will never get over this, the fact that theyre growing children is treated so well for each of them. Bam has the most important role, carries most of the expectations, he is the Batmobile, but he also has personal problems, fears and issues with showing his vulnerable side even to trusted adults like MOE and BC. Bibi often cares too much about her image and what other people think of her. Buff doesnt know how to handle or speak out his frustrations sometimes, but he is the most emotionally intelligent and the most gentle one of the group. Redbird often feels unheard and overlooked, and he finds it hard to admit mistakes. Wing's journey in finding herself often results in problems she can't handle alone. THESE ARE ACTUAL PROBLEMS ACTUAL KIDS DEAL WITH IN ACTUAL HOUSEHOLDS. This is one of the most relatable shows i have ever seen.
This was also my first time tearing up over a kids show (cuz im sensitive and emotional)
The song "i'm already shining"... holy mother of peanuts, why is this in a preschool show. Release this. Put this on the radio. Play it at my funeral. I dont care, LET PEOPLE HEAR THIS
The lyrics are so well written, beautifully sang and sensitive. Like wow i actually kinda teared up. Its so high quality for a show for preschoolers dammit man.
Batwheels keeps surprising me, i hope they make more of this awesome show. It works so well, its made so well, i adore it.
