Don't wear white after labor day // Holly, Shelby, Scarlet, Shane, Richard and Harley.

Shane: Shane had been buzzing with joy the past few days and it didn't show signs of fading. Shane was taking his hourly check through the halls before he had to get back to sessions that were planned for the day. Xavier had taken care of most of his paper work and considered letting him sit in on the next session. As Shane turned down the next corridor, he caught a glimpse of Holly. Shane hurried over to her, "Holly? Is everything alright?" He asked with concern.

Holly: Holly gritted her teeth as she felt another wash of pain shoot through her. She looked over as Shane approached, she shook her head and whimpered pointing down to the the fact she had basically wet herself. "Yeah i think thundercats are go here" she said her face pale. She then cried out in pain hanging onto him as her legs wobbled beneath her.

Scarlet: Scarlet wandered down the corridor spotting the two doctors, she noticed Holly crippled over in pain and knew her cries all too well. "Oh that i know all too well, Sweetie we need to sit you down and call an ambulance" Scarlet urged looking worriedly to Shane.

Shane: Shane placed his hand on Holly's shoulder, hoping to comfort her. He was relieved to see Scarlet coming by, he was at a total lost of what to do. When Scarlet spoke, he understood what maybe the issue. "Oh, I can get a wheelchair, we'll at least make it to the infirmary while we wait for it." Shane looked to Scarlet. "Do you mind staying with her while I get it?"

Scarlet: Scarlet looked to Shane and nodded...."Um should, we get Shelby or someone?" she asked Shane as Holly cried out again, she held onto Holly supporting her. "Of course, i'll stay with her, its gonna be ok Holly" she assured the blonde who cried in pain again moaning softly to herself by the fact the baby was coming early.

Holly: Holly moaned out in pain holding onto Scarlet desperately as her legs shook, she felt like Harley was trying to literally claw her way out of her, she felt tears rolling down her cheeks. "God this hurts like a bitch!" she whimpered.

Shane: "I can go get her if you'd like." Shane suggested as he looked between the two woman knowing he didn't have much time. Shane could see the state she was in, she needed to lay down. "I'll come back with both." Shane hurried off towards the infirmary hoping to run into Shelby along the way as he raced to get a chair for Holly. He had no time to waste.

Richard: Richard was doing his rounds but he wasn't exactly paying attention. He was strolling aimlessly around the corridors, hands in his pockets and his mind lost in thoughts of what his life had become. It still didn't feel real. Out of sheer coincidence, he bumped into the very man who had been taking up so many of his thoughts for the last few days close to the infirmary; he smiled as he saw him, but quickly realised that something was wrong. "Shane!" he called, catching his arm. "Hey, what's the matter?"

Scarlet: Scarlet waited anxiously, holding onto the blonde she looked down to Holly who was whimpering sadly and holding her side. Scarlet thought back to when she had Joshua and how she coped. "Holly, you've got to breath...big breaths okay? big breath" she assured, rubbing the blondes back softly, Scarlet needed support from Estella at this moment in time, she was not used to helping with things like this. Holly nodded before groaning out in pain. "Scar, shes too early" she whispered breathlessly.

Shane: Shane's mind was focused on the task at hand. He had to get Shelby quickly and needed the chair desperately. Shane hadn't noticed Richard until he caught his arm. Shane turned to look at him, trying catch his breath. Nearly regretting running down the hall and not working out more. "It's Holly. She...she might be in labor. I'm getting a wheel chair for her." He huffed, trying to collect his thoughts and form them into proper sentences. "Please tell me you've seen Shelby."

Richard: Richard gasped, his eyes wide, and ran his hand down Shane's arm to lace their fingers together. "I think she's still in her office," he told him, his eyes firmly reassuring. "Come on, it'll be okay." He tugged on his hand, leading him to Shelby's office. Outside, he was the picture of calm because he knew that he needed to keep Shane calm but inside he was freaking out. "Her office is by the infirmary, we can get her a chair from there too," he added as they walked quickly through the halls.

Shelby: Shelby sat playing with the stapler on her desk, she looked up as the two men entered her office, she looked between them, squinting slightly with her bad eye from being punched the other day. "Um...is there a problem guys?" she asked putting down the stapler.

Shane: Shane held on to Richard's hand tightly, getting the feeling that things would be alright. Shane was never good under pressure like this. "You're right, it will be." Shane nodded as he tried to calm himself down and with Richard there it was becoming easier to it. "That's sounds like a good idea. I hope we make it back in time, I'd left Scarlet with her." Once to Shelby's office, Shane couldn't have been happier to see the Doctor. "It seems that Holly maybe in labor. She's just down the corridor. We could really use your help and a wheelchair."

Shelby: Shelby widened her eyes as the two doctors looked to her, she then realized what they wanted. "Oh no" she said quietly raising from her seat, wondering if she could run past them, she was fast. She'd ran enough in college. She looked around her office. "Um a wheelchair can be found in the infirmary..but i can't deliver a baby...oh no, call an ambulance thats their job, n-not mine" she said quickly, even though she knew she hadn't been asked.

Richard: Richard stepped a little closer, holding his hands up both to soothe Shelby and to stop her if she tried to run. "You can do this, Shelby," he told her in his most calming voice. "You are an incredibly talented doctor, and right now you're the only option. It's too late to call an ambulance. You can do this, Shelby," he insisted, stepping a little closer.

Shane: "Richard's right, Shelby. You can do this. You've handled worse, I believe in you." Shane added on as he took a step closer. "I'm going to get the chair to her. I don't think we have much time. She wasn't so well when I found her. " Shane stated before he hurried off to the infirmary. Shane grabbed the first wheelchair he found then hurrying back down the corridor to get Holly to the help she needed.

Shelby: Shelby looked to Richard and looked to the door, she really wanted to run, she couldn't do this on her own...god no, she knew she was too frightened of blood and having the life of someone so tiny in her hands just terrified her. "I can't, we really should get professionals...." she said going quiet, but nodding to herself, Holly was one of her best friends and from the womans cry that was that loud it echoed down the corridor she was in clear need of help, Shelby stood up shakily. "Okay..i'll try, don't let me run..hell slap me if i try to" she said with a wobbly voice.

Richard: Richard reached out and took her hands in both of his, holding them tight. "You'll be okay," he told her firmly. "I have so much faith in you, and Shane and I will be right there beside you to support you. I know it's scary but Holly needs you right now. And so help me, if you try to run I will rugby tackle you to the floor," he added with a grin. "Come on, we have to get to her. It'll be okay."

Shane: Shane was breathless when he finally reached the two women who were in the corridor. He cursed himself for not making better use of the gym, he needed and planned to. "We found Shelby, I don't think we'll have much time." Shane breathed, trying to regain his breath. "Come on, let's get her to infirmary and into capable hands."

Holly: Holly cried out weakly as she looked up as Shane arrived with the wheelchair, she sighed as she was sat into the chair by Scarlet. "Ohhhh crap, give me some drugs already, like happy gas or something?" she chuckled but then cringed at the pain, She looked to Scarlet who held her hand tentatively, Scarlet looked to Shane..."Her contractions are way to close together Shane...this baby hasn't got long" she said shakily, helping them take Holly to the infirmary. They quickly arrived at the infirmary and Shelby waited there anxiously looking to Holly as she cried out, almost jumping like a skittish cat at the blondes cries..."Um i can't" she said softly going to run.

Richard: Richard jumped into action immediately, gripping Shelby by the shoulders and forcing her to stand still. "Yes you can," he told her reassuringly, standing close beside her. "Look at her. She needs you to help her. You know how to do this, I know you do."

Shelby: Shelby looked to Richard then back to Holly, the blondes eyes fearful and full of panic, she swallowed and nodded rubbing Richards arm as if to tell him her decision. "Okay, we need to get her onto the bed." she said her tone automatically turning from scared to doctor, she looked to Scarlet who helped her put Holly onto the bed. She helped Holly prepare, she looked to Richard and Shane shakily before going to look at how Harley was doing, she thought hard about her medical training and she knew that Holly was in a good position to push, by how she was dilated.. "Um..okay...guys, looks like we are ready for the feature film.....she um....needs to push, but on the contraction, could someone hold her hand?" Shelby almost squeaked.#

Shane: Shane gave the best reassuring smile he could as he could muster up to give Shelby confidence, knowing she was more than capable of the task at hand. Shane swallowed hard when Shelby gave the news. "I'll do it." Shane spoke up as he walked over to take Holly's hand. He held her hand tightly in his. "Hey," He spoke calmly. "You're doing really good, she's going to be here soon." Shane assured her as he spoke. "Keep hanging in there, okay? You can do this." Shane looked up at Shelby, giving her a nod.

Richard: Richard hung back, hovering behind Shelby to provide her with the support she needed whilst keeping out of the way as she worked. His eyes flickered between all of them, silently making sure that everyone was alright; this room was full of the people that he loved, and as everyone else was absorbed in Holly he took it upon himself to make sure that the others were okay too. He lay a hand on Shelby's shoulder and briefly met Shane's eyes, nodding reassuringly at him.

Shelby: Shelby examined Holly carefully, she just wished that Cass could be there for her...She needed the blonde to tell her that everything would be ok. She looked to her shoulder as Richard placed a supporting hand on it and she nodded to him, she told Holly to push, with a strong confident voice that Holly agreed and nodded to. Holly screamed out in pain, her face reddening heavily as she clenched Shanes hand hard, Scarlet quickly came to her side to hold her other hand, Shelby smiled. "Okay thats good, okay..on the next one, i want you to push down on everything" she commented glancing up to Holly with soft reassuring eyes. Holly whimpered, tears streaming down her cheeks..."I'm so tired" she creid but pushed with all her might again in Shelby's command.

Shane: Shane gritted his teeth as Holly's squeezed his hand, he didn't think he was that strong. "You can do it. Holly. You're a fighter, you're so strong, keep pushing. She's almost here." Shane encouraged her hand he held her hand tighter, hoping he's still be able to feel it tomorrow. Shane often looked back to Richard and Shelby, giving them encouraging looks. Shane took a deep breath before looking at the tired mother to be. "You're almost there, Holly. Come on."

Richard: Richard flinched at Holly's pained noises, moving to stand beside Shane but keeping his hand on Shelby's shoulder. He was afraid that if he let go, she would run for the hills. "Come on, Holly," he urged softly, "you can do this. We're all here for you. You're so close now, you can do it."

Shelby: Holly let her head flop back against the pillow, her body tired and limp...she was exhausted and the pain was too much, she looked between her friends, dazed from the raised blood vessels burning her cheeks, she panted as she slowed down, making Shelby a little alarmed. "No Holly, you can't give in sweetheart, we have to get her head pushed out, the body will be easy after, trust me....come on one big push, i think thats all she needs trust me" Shelby urged, her eyes glancing to the clock having been at this for nearly an 2hrs and a half, her knees ached but she needed to help her friend. Shelby looked to Richard, Shane and Scarlet who all equally looked exhausted themselves. "Okay Holly, we need that push, come on..you can do it" she repeated as she noticed the next contraction coming along. She almost felt her breath hold as Holly mustered all he remaining strength and cried out.

Shane: "Holly, you're nearly there, come on." Shane encouraged as he squeezed his friends hand tightly. "You're so close, Holly, so close." Shane had lost most of the feeling in his hand and he kept looking between his friends. He gripped Holly's hand with both of his. "You'll have your baby girl soon, Holly. Keep pushing, you're nearly there. Come on, Holly."

Richard: Richard was exhausted but he knew that it was nothing compared to how Holly must feel. He had his hand on her knee, eyes flicking protectively between her and Shelby as he watched them both. "You can do this," he told Holly firmly, squeezing her knee. "You're the strongest woman I know, Holly. You're impulsive and crazy and stubborn as a mule, and I know that you can do this. You're so, so close now. One more push, come on. Just one more," he urged her, reaching out to brush her sweat-damp hair back from her flushed face.

Holly Holly pushed harder, biting down her teeth until she swore they would crack, tears burned her eyes and sweat rolled down her forehead, the time just dragged on and Harley seemed to make no effort to help out, it was all up to her, she felt the room take one giant breath as she cried out the last note as she pushed in an almighty and agonizing way, she fell back as she felt a small relief and then the sounds of tiny muffled cries....her mind so dazed and her world spinning that she couldn't tell if it was real

Shelby reacted quickly as Holly pushed, grabbing the blanket she had rested on her shoulder, she caught the tiny girl and wrapped her fast to warm her, making sure the baby cried, she smiled as she was met with gorgeous blue eeyes, followed by the infamous sound that filled the room, Shelby burst into tears not being able to help herself.

Shane: Shane's eyes lit up with joy and a smile crossed his lips at the cries of the baby. "You did! She's here!" Shane exclaimed squeezing Holly's hand, pretty sure he'd lost all feeling in his own. He looked between his friends smiling brightly as he watching Shelby hold they child. It was an experience that was unbearable to witness, but the end result was a new life that was worth it all.

Richard: Richard gasped and pressed his hands over his mouth, utterly stunned. "Holly," he murmured, staring down at the tiny baby in Shelby's arms. "Oh honey, I'm so proud of you. Look, sweetheart. Your daughter." He crossed to Shelby, laying his hands on both her shoulders and gently guiding her to the head of the bed so that Holly could see her tiny baby girl. "You did so well," he said, speaking both to Holly and to Shelby now since he could feel the other woman shaking under his hands.

Shelby: Scarlet couldn't help but be reminded of when she had Josh, she smiled happily as she looked to the beautiful baby girl in her friends arms, "You did, amazingly and she is gorgeous Holly...oh well done..well done everyone" Scarlet sniffled feeling her own tears rise. "Thank you, but i couldn't have done it without your support Richard" Shelby smiled softly looking back at the blue eyes which stared at her curiously, her crying stopped, but her little eyes exploring, she looked to Richard who stood over Shelby, before making a slight noise, that made Shelby giggle. "Shes such a little heartbreaker" Shelby whispered looking to Holly, when Scarlet had helped her sit up. Holly looked down to the tiny girl placed in her arms and smiled warmly, "Hey there" she said ever so softly as Harley looked up to her full of wonder, Shelby hugged Richard at this point.

Shane: Shane stood back watching quietly as the scenes before him played out. A new mother holding her baby girl, friends supporting each other, it was all so real and outstanding. Shane held his hand, hoping to regain the feeling in time. He stepped closer to Holly, looking down at the baby in her arms. "She very beautiful. You did a very good job." Shane told her and he looked down at the baby in her arms. "You're going to be a great mother."

Richard: Richard was feeling pretty worse for wear, given that he hadn't sat down or had a drink in several hours, not to mention having to watch Holly in such pain, but it was all worth it to see the way Holly's eyes lit up at the sight of the tiny baby in her arms. He hugged Shelby as tight as he could, kissing her temple. He looked up at Shane and smiled, his eyes wet with tears of pride as they all watched Holly taking care of her daughter for the first time.

Holly: Shelby laughed slightly, before feeling her stomach twist, she looked to Richard and then pushed past him to be go and throw up, her mind thinking back to the blood she'd seen, she found herself being sick into the paperbin nearby not even caring that it was for recycling. She coughed heavily after throwing up but put her thumb up to signal she was ok. Scarlet laughed slightly and looked back down to the Harley, Holly kissed the tiny girls forehead and held her close, "I'm gonna protect you always" she whispered. "Thank you, everyone....you're all amazing" Holly said with a tear filled smile.
