What can you tell us about the Pattin from the AU where they became a BBI toy?

First off; How did they end up a toy?

All of the pre game lore for pat in RA still covers for this little au! Including the inclusion of Rapheal, and all their nonsense behaviours /aff

The circumstance that caused Pat to be BBI-Fied are a mix of them poking around to much and starting to ask prying questions; and also because I’m extra awful, one of the higher ups LEAPING at the op of punishing Rafa by making Pat “vanish” as punishment to keep them in line.

Rafa is also the reason they weren’t thrown at Boxy; cause emotional damage points <3333

Second; What toy are they?

BBI Pat; more commonly referred to as Pine is a Toy I made cause I COULD. The toy is called Pine’NdAngel, and is a mix of a art doll and a French knitting doll.

Different dolls in this collection had different hair styles; kinda like a better Lily Lovebraids Ngl 💥 and for Pattin; the French knitting showed in the form of their two iconic rat tails! You could French Knit by popping open a panel on their back, and that’s where the two (or more) prongs are!

These toys were typically sold without clothes to encourage people to spend more money on the clothes that came separately; cause playco is a money hungry shark pool

I also have their container design for the doll!

Third: What would they be like in the game?

In my heart, Pine ofc is with Yarnaby in chapter 4, cause I LOVEEEEE MY BOYYYYY AHHH

Pretty much Pine would be an interactive character that isn’t an ally nor enemy, and is more there to hint at important future lore! They are mostly hidden in a secret room you can only access through ventilation vents which is actually Yarnaby’s “kennel” as it’s simply to dangerous for a little wooden dolly to be pattering around without their scary guard dog privilege!

They’d also be the cause of cute doodles and notes all over the walls and floor of the prisons, kinda a mix of the black light in chapter 5 and the crayon in chapter 1, a little helpful guide for the player to find their way around and locate hiding spots from other toys!

And in one particular au, their the reason Yarnaby is redeemable; and able to join the Angel’s side <3

Some facts on Pine!

Over all Pine was considered a extremely excellent experiment; akin to Huggy Wuggy, but instead of having Huggy’s aggressive nature when distressed, Pine originally was very resistant when they first ended up in their new body.

Unfortunately for Pine, “hard shell” toys like themselves and other plastic toys aren’t actually transitioned into their new body with bones. Rather, their exoskeleton is ment to provide support, but it takes time for their muscles to adjust.

Ergo; kid had to relearn how to move.

Ergo; by the time they could move, they were to far into conditioning to fight back. Pity, right? :((

Pine always ADORED their life as a toy- if you were to ask them if this was paradise post identity conditioning, they would agree. This is mostly due to their shit life with their parents who if you know RA! Pat; their parents weren’t the greatest :(((

So for Pine, this was their first time put in a place that felt safe, were they were treated kindly (as far as they were aware, at least) and worse- they practically kneel over at praise, so Ms. Gracie had them eating out of her palm from day one, metaphorically speaking.

Sadly for poor Pine, they were like Yarnaby, a toy without purpose. Sawyer ended up throwing them at Yarnaby, merely as enrichment for the Lion, expecting that Yarnaby would pretty much shred them the second they fell into his cage.

It’s a personal hc of mine that Quinn like the outdoors, and that fact is still important to Yarnaby, as Pine’s- you guessed it- pine scent was enough to keep Yarnaby from shredding Pine.

He would have probably removed pine and disposed of them himself- if not for the fact that he was then jarred himself 💥

Which ment Pine and Yarnaby had each other; and bonded, very closely!!! To the point that Pine point blank considers them siblings. (No you cannot change their mentality on this)

Funner fact, but Pine is actually cannon in a au belonging to a close friend of mine, @mockingbird24 ! They only made the au recently; but we’ve been frothing at the mouth about our angels hehehehebe

As the Au doesnt really belong to me, your best bet for that answer is going to @mockingbird24 ! I’m sure they’ll be happy to yap your ears off about all the other characters, the only one I have merrit over is Pine (and we share Yarnaby since he affects Pine and vice versa! But again, techinalllllyyyyyyy not my character!)

In my heart; since Yarnaby also had Pine, he was just slightly less Sawyer obsessed. Like to the degree were he wouldn’t willing sacrifice himself to please his master.

This makes it a hell of a lot more easier for this au’s Angel, Dusk, to save him!
