PiliPinas 2016
It appears to be that the Filipino people have already chosen. As a first time voter, I voted MDS for president and my vice president was BBM. Eversince, I've been a fan of Senator Santiago. She has conquered the hearts of the youth because of her exuding intelligence, humorous remarks and feistiness. As for me, she was just the right woman to be in the position to represent our country. On the other hand, people might not understand me voting for the son of the dictator. I wasn't a fan of Senator Marcos before but when I got to travel Ilocos (which is known to be "Marcos' country") surprisingly, I found reasons to support him. His genius projects maximizing the use of all Ilocos' resources, and his contributions as a part of the law-making body. I had high hopes that if he'll be taking the Vice President spot, our country might be able to rise again. I remember talking to one of the tour guides when we went there. I asked her how much is their electricity bill per month, she answered, "The minimum fare, ma'am." At the back of my mind, I was expecting at least 300 pesos a month but no, I landed with shock and awe when I discovered that they're only paying 20 pesos a month. She even added, "Kasama na po sa pag charge ng gadgets yun." What a time to be alive if we'll just pay 20 pesos a month for electricity! Well, he may be the son of the dictator but you can't deny the fact that he also made humongous contributions to our country. Nonetheless, I will respect the decision of the majority and I'm incessantly praying for the next leaders to not betray the hopeful hearts of the Filipino people. God Bless the Philippines!
