She finds comfort in knowing Alex is home, because she always does make situations feel better. It’s a ridiculous thing to be upset over, after all it wasn’t as if scientists didn’t make mistakes. She had caught it, but still the fact that she’d made a mistake originally made it difficult to stomach. Luckily they weren’t at a stage where they were testing these cures on anyone, and therefore no one had ended up hurt. But for some reason it brought back memories of her father, in his last months of life, and of course what would have happened if he had been presented with a cure that could have killed him more quickly. “We figured out a mistake, in what we were working on in the lab today” she answered quietly, “It was my mistake”
