wrath (go ! off !)
WRATH – uncontrolled feelings of anger, rage, and even hatred towards oneself or others.
James Potter. Oh, how sometimes you hated him. You were friends like fire and gasoline. You shouldn’t have lasted as long as you did but yet you still persist.
At least for now.
Right now all you are is shaking hands, white knuckles from fists held too tight. You want to be impulsive, want to show him how you’re feeling, emote in the way that you so frequently think you dampen in yourself. None of the other student body can tell who is the fire and who is the gasoline, but you feel the flare — uncontrollable and burning, burning, burning.
Punch him, your thoughts tell you, punch him and end this friendship.
Do it.
Do it.
Do it.
But you don’t.
You want to scream, want to stab words into the softest parts of James, but you can’t. He is your friend and you don’t know when this is going to end but it isn’t going to end now. You’re not going to let it end now.
