Yami is not super possessive, but he also doesn’t like it when you’re away from him. He’ll let you go on missions and such, but you have to return to him unscathed. (You’re in the Black Bulls by the way, he made sure you transferred to his knights after falling for you. How could he make sure you come home otherwise?)
He doesn’t necessarily enjoy injuring you, but he won’t hesitate to do so if he needs to, especially if you misbehave. A broken arm will heal, right? You just gotta surpass your limits to get better according to him.
Speaking of surpassing your limits, Yami wants you to be strong. A weak partner isn’t for him, so he’s gonna make sure you train everyday. No matter how much you complain or even if your magic runs out, he’s gonna make you work. If it wasn’t for Charmy you wouldn’t be sure how you’re surviving this.
He has no problem using intimidation on you or anyone who may get too close to you, including the Black Bulls.
Since he’s a hot headed man, he gets snappy very fast if you complain in any sort of way about your circumstances. You’re in a magic knight squad with unlimited food and job opportunities, plus Yami is there with you, so what’s the problem?
He does have a soft spot for you though. Sure he lost all of his money gambling, but he made sure to buy you something nice before he did. He also makes sure you don’t get too lonely if he’s gone. If you prefer female friends Vanessa and Charmy are there, and if you prefer male friends Asta and Magna will be there (Finral is not allowed around you because of his tendency to flirt).
Anyone tries to hurt you or insult you and they’re gonna be facing Yami’s wrath as well. He’s the yandere that’s like yeah I can smack them but you can’t.
