ATSCO -- FAQ

I love questions about my work! It makes me all giddy and goofy.  I have gotten a lot of questions about a thousand souls crossed over (both since I posted Chapter 14 and from before).  Since some of them are similar, I thought I would combine them here (rather than flood the dash).

Will Bonnie ever be a witch again?

To quote River Song, “Spoilers!” I know the answer but I don’t want to give it away.  I will say writing the anchor side of her has been fun because it has given me a chance to write a different side to Bonnie.  And to actually do something with the anchor storyline which was woefully underused.

Why doesn’t Bonnie feel more people pass through her?

Afraid I am using a bit of creative license there.  Statistically (and realistically), Bonnie should always be accepting dead supernatural creatures.  She would get little downtime.  Because I want to be able to focus on the whole mystery of New Orleans, I can’t be realistic in that regard.

Will Bonnie be paired with Kol? (Or Elijah? Or Klaus?)

This story was definitely designed to be more of a Gen/Mystery/Drama story.  I try to plant subtle teases of various Bonnie pairings and in my head one does seem to be coming together more than the others. However, I am not dead set on it yet.  I am sort of letting the story come together.

Will any of the TVD characters show up in New Orleans?

Not currently planned.  Bonnie will continue to have interactions with them (mostly Caroline) through phone calls and texts.  There are no plans to have them show up physically in New Orleans.  I have toyed around with letting Stefan show up.  Or maybe Enzo but currently it is not on the table.

Will ATSCO follow the Season 1 TO storyline exactly?

In a way it will be modeled after it.  I have taken the ideas from it and tried to put a Bonnie Bennett twist to them.  I also don’t just want to rip off the entire thing word for word. Expect to see events that you might recognize but with their own spin.

How many chapters?  Will there be a sequel?

I have no idea how many chapters there will be.  I have the events mapped out but sometimes scenes demand to be added which ups the chapter count.  And yes, there will be a sequel.  It will deal with the threat of a war between all the factions of supernatural life in New Orleans as well as some of the general ideas of season 2 TO.

Will some version of Hope ever come into play?

Not as I see it.  I originally had thought to do it (which is why Hayley was present in one of the earlier chapters) but then thought it was too much with what I wanted to do with the story.  From here on out I don’t see me backtracking on it.  Hayley’s role has been reduced for now (but I think she’ll play a role in wolf related stuff in the sequel).

Will Freya or Finn show up to complete the Mikaelson family?

I think you will have a chance of seeing Finn in the sequel.  As for Freya, I am not ruling her out.  I just don’t know how to slot her in given that her entrance was tied to Hope’s on the show.  If I can’t make it work, she won’t show up.
