YOO !! i just found ur blog and im in lov w ur art !!! i lov the way u draw hands too !!! do u have any tips on how to draw hands bc im terrible lmfao

damn son I’m not even sure why you’d want my advice since your art is tons rad already, but uhm okay 

I did a lil breakdown of some hands I’ve drawn in the past, just to show the simple shapes and whatnot. they’re basically mostly a square/rectangle shape with cylinders stuck on at the end. I think what helps me the most is using fingernails to show angles and dimension. 

But honestly, this lovely tutorial does a better job at explaining it than I do and altho it doesn’t follow the exact same method I use, it’s basically the tutorial that finally made me enjoy drawing hands.

hey this might be really vague but like how do u make ur music ??? I LOV it so much omg !!! like how did u get started/ whats ur process ??

Hey, thank ya! im glad ya like it! When i was like 8, i got into playing the guitar, and then when i got older, i started making music in garageband on my dad’s computer. Then, when I got my own computer, I just continued on that! Two years ago, I got a MIDI keyboard (AKAI MPK mini) and learned how to play keyboard more. I still use garageband, and use various (free) VSTs for different instruments n whatnot. The process itself, is pretty simple. I just open up a new project, n start messin around yknow? Either I have a sample that I wanna work with, or I feel like playing something on the keyboard, or i’m trying to replicate a certain sound i’ve heard from another track. Usually when I find something that i’m alright with, I start to sequence it and experiment with it, relisten to it to make sure the flow fits. Then when the track is done, I go over it and give final touches (EQ, reverb, delay, volume). Then I export it, bring that file back in, so I that I can limit and compress it, final export and upload! And that’s pretty much it, thanks for askin!

1.Do you prefer traditional drawing, or digital?

hmm it depends on what i’m drawing. i like doing all my thumbnails for big pieces on paper because it lets me get a better feel for it, and traditional drawing is more relaxing. but i think i like digital the most

2.How long have you been drawing?

pretty much all my life, but i got serious-ish in 7th grade so about 5-6 years ago

5.What’s your favorite thing to draw?

i love drawing exaggerated expressions! when faces get all stretchy and squishy its v fun

6.What’s your least favorite thing to draw?

it used to be feet but that’s getting easier..... probably faces at weird angles, it never comes out quite as dynamic as i want :p

25.Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?

oh definitely with music! long periods of silence make me uncomfortable, plus music can help me get a feel for what i’m working on. i sometimes put on badly dubbed anime or gilmore girls tho...
