This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. See, if I ate people, I wouldn't want to eat gross people, you know? Like the point of eating is to eat things that aren't gross or unsavory. Like I don't eat meat, but if I did I wouldn't eat a gross or abnormal cow. I never eat vegetables that seem dirty or rotten. I'm not saying I would eat people I respect or like because that also seems illogical. I'd just think he would be smart enough to go for healthy, clean people.
I don't know what being a cannibal feels like, if it's like an addiction or a need or something. But I like to think that if he really needed a fix he would carve off a piece of himself for consumption.
