nerves make her arms shake. she had never made it this far down the aisle before. she didn’t even want to think about the last time she wore a wedding gown. no, this time was different. she wasn’t marrying to further her family’s status in town. she was IN LOVE. nobody else had any say in what she was supposed to do. 

she looks over herself in the mirror, a soft smile on her face as she takes in the details of the dress she’s wearing. she hopes that emmett will like it. how had she gotten so lucky as to find someone who truly, truly loved her? not for the status a marriage to her might bring him, but just for her. she couldn’t remember the last time someone didn’t want to be around her just because of something she could do for them. 

today, she gets to marry for love. she turns to esme with a smile on her face. ❝ he hasn’t changed his mind and turned to run, has he? ❞ she asks, turning to face the door that will open into the small church. esme laughs but assures her that he’s still in there, calming some of the girl’s fears.

she gives esme a nod and holds her arm out to carlisle. esme goes first, acting as matron of honor and flower  girl all at the same time. and then, the wedding march begins. she takes a deep breath and readies herself, taking those few steps to stand in front of the door that esme had just walked out of. in just ten second, the doors would open, and she would be mrs. mccarty. // @bearwrestled

                   ❛ of course. ❜ surprisingly easily agreed upon, for people who have, before, spent great lengths of time debating the value of ventriloquism. all ( most ) in good fun, in their defense. she’s always been happiest with someone to talk to, so it’s lucky there’s been little lack of it in years, even if sometimes it means someone dares to suggest she may be wrong. ❛ not the little… ❜ hand rises to the back of her hair where she wiggles fingers upward, in case her prime description doesn’t get her concept across, ❛ …snail-eyed green ones. ❜ although, all things considered, they wouldn’t really be in any position to judge if something like that did show up. makeshift alien eyes fall back to her lap, ❛ but a you with twelve eyes sort of thing, definitely. ❜

𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐄 𝐓𝐘𝐋𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐕𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐒, none of them were anything like emmett cullen. they’d first met back when tyler was going through the worst time of his life ( well, or so he had thought back then ), and tyler hadn’t really gotten to know him. since then he’d died twice, become a hybrid, been resurrected, and retriggered his werewolf gene. mystic falls was definitely not where tyler had thought he’d stay for the rest of his life, and he definitely didn’t expect to end up with emmett cullen being the one at his side. he tossed a football to his friend, “so did you ever think you were gonna be stuck in mystic falls?” he asked, “i mean... you don’t have the stupid town in your veins... yet you’re still here.”
