Beastshifters
Beastshifters/Grymmwalkers (or Beastwalkers, a combo from both names lol) are like??? The Oldest race next to the Elves!! And they do in fact age MUCH slower than Elves but no one knows why so it's kinda fucky but over the centuries everyone just learned to accept it because fucken uuhhhh if they didn't know why then who the hell does.
Now they live in the continent known as Therraldan and they own a piece of territory/region on that continent. Which is near the mountains a little bit before that shit is snowy af so it's usually cool or cold where they live but they've practically adapted to that weather already so they're all okay with it. Now their capital kingdom is built against the wall of the mountain and over a cliffside from it and they've got some defenses from within the mountain as well because they also built IN the mountain. That capital is called Vraimire. And it's practically fucken amazing okay. It has a huge ass wall for defense and there's guards always on patrol and since they're adept at magick they use that as well to watch out for trouble. Now there's another "settlement" above the cliffside, a little more in the woods that are there and that's where the first Beastshifters lived before they expanded down the cliffside/mountain. Most nobles, scholars and both councils live up there and that's basically where my main shitheads live.
Now these fuckers are pretentious as shit. They're arrogant to a degree (Most of em are) but they also do it in a passive-aggressive way?? Like not COMPLETELY flaunting it but saying it enough in subtle ways that you can catch on quick enough. Of course they're also polite when you visit their kingdom or when they're out visiting other kingdoms but that arrogance will always be a bit there. There are others who are more tame with their pride but will puff it out when someone starts saying shit. They're usually okay with the other races but some of them are a bit iffy with one another (like the Elves alnelanwe Both arrogant asshats)
Now going back to the fact that these imbeciles live a long ass time, they have a Very Hard time reproducing so sex is kind of like?? A fun little activity that most like to indulge in and actually do it with anyone, even if they have a partner (so long as both are open and consenting to it and so long as the ppl participating are all consenting to it) so it's kind of like???? friends with benefits for everyone LMFAO. They're super fucking chill on the regard of sex that someone could go up to another and ask if they want to bang while the other person is having a conversation and they can say yes or no and that's it. BUT!!! Since they have a hard time reproducing it's actually good bc uuhhh you don't want that overpopulation happening bc then they'd be super op best race ever and it'd be fucking ridiculous so this is actually a very good thing. (Esp for the fact they literally fuck any time like bro,,) And also because of this there aren't that many Beastshifters around (I'd chalk it up to a maybe 500-1000??? maybe 2000 at the fucken full max of things) and because of this there aren't many other settlements for them to have because their numbers aren't that high unlike the other races. Though of course there are half Beastshifters there and they do age as faster (depending on what race is the other half) and they're even smaller in population but are always counted as full citizens of Vraimire.
I'm jumping around a lot because I keep remembering other details BUT!!! When it comes to Vraimire they only allow guests and no other race actually lives there save for a couple for business purposes or whatever. Guests and visitors to Vraimire usually stay 1-2 weeks, 3 at most and if they can convince the council to let them. While they are open to have ppl go in they're also kind of closed off from the world (BUT not as closed of as the Faerian's are) and actually like their privacy when it comes to other races.
So their alternate name, Grymmwalkers, was because the first sighting of a Beastshifter in their full form was at night, and it was one of the Beastshifters who had a form resembling a Demonspawn or something else corrupted and so they thought it was a Demonspawn for a long time before realizing it was a Beastshifter but they changed the dub to Grymmwalkers. Beastshifters didn't really like the name and dubbed themselves as Beastshifters and had a talk with the other leaders of the different races and they all agreed the official name would be that. Though there are a few who are neutral or not miffed by being called a Grymmwalker, most Beastshifters see it as a "slur" and heavily do not like it.
