Your art is adorable and happy pride month by the way I have a question how in the heck do you draw ✨t h i c c s t e a k g u y✨
First of all, thank you!💖💝💗 And also happy pride month to you too,🌈🌸
Second of all, great question! These are just rough sketches but I hope you get the idea
So basically I use shapes, and depending on the character I'm drawing I'll use different shapes. You may have heard this a lot from other people, I have. But it does help, or at least helps me
Steve is a big dude, he's like a big warm teddy bear. And because of that I ues more round shapes. It makes him look softer which matches his personality.
But for someone like Felix, I use more boxy shapes (I actually wish I had made him bigger in this) Using boxy shapes may make a character look less soft and nice which is some what of a case for Felix. Yes he's very sweet and nice, but he's a bit more serious and cocky than Steve.
Despite Steve being bigger, Felix is taller. Hight is also something you should think about.
I try to give all my designs different body types, but if there's some same bodys then thats okay. Tony and Larry have similar bodys, but they are different. Tony has more muscles and has more curve in the hips, while Larry has a bit more chub.
Using round shapes can make a character look nicer and softer, but that doesn't always mean the character is sweet or nice. Like Shrignold for example, he's kind yes but that's cause he's trying to get you to join his cult. Looks can be deceiving.
I'd like to make a better and more clean looking post like this in the future, definitely add more body types cause there's a lot. My biggest advice for you is to have lots references.
Some things to note is that bodys are not perfect, bodys have scars, folds, stretch marks, burns, missing/shorter limbs. They have lumps and curves, hair, lots of hair! There are so many bodys, all of which are beautiful and amazing.
No matter what you look like, you are powerful, beautiful and you should love it as what it is cause it's yours and you shouldn't let others tell you what to do with cause it doesn't belong to them.
