"Y’know." Miguel hiccuped and leaned against the other. "Y’know it’s nice and cool when yer around." He slurred. "An’ an’ an’ that’s wonderful. Jes, jes wonderful. Y’know yer very pretty too. Like my own pretty ice box." Miguel gave a small chuckle. "Y’know we should make out."

❆ The day had arrived. The one she had been dreading for her entire life. The one she knew she would have to face eventually. Coronation Day. Her only consolation was that she wouldn't have to face it alone.
She had been thankful for her twin for all these years. Having Elsa by her side made it easier to shut out everybody else. They avoided their powers, but they had their books, their studies, their hobbies to keep them company. It was all they needed.
They talked surprisingly little over the years, preferring to keep to themselves. Ingrid suspected it was because talking about it would make things too... real. But they had been putting it off. Avoiding the issue. And now, perhaps, they were unprepared for the day that they would eventually have to take the throne.
Twenty-one years old... Thirteen years since the incident. Neither twin wanted the throne, and neither could stand to let Anna become the queen. So they would have to do this together. As much as they hated the idea of being in the public eye, of letting their secret out, they would have to do this.
At least until Ingrid gathered up the strength to just run.
"Well Elsa, it's time. Are we ready?" Ingrid doubted they could ever be ready for something like this, but they really had no c h o i c e.

Elphaba sat alone in class, her nose buried in one of her old books. It was downtime within the class, so when voices started picking up, Elphaba frowned. Did they not still have ten minutes? Shrugging it off, she continued reading, until someone sat down next to her. Someone sat next to HER. Not the other way around.
Slowly, she looked up, a frown on her face. There, next to her, was a girl with platinum blonde hair. Wonderful. Just what she needed. Another blonde in her life. She said nothing, looking back to her book. People were whispering things about Elphaba, something that happened often, usually when she walked into a classroom.
She was not happy about the situation, it was pretty apparent from the scowl on her face and the furrowed brows, showing her deep frustration. She had been trying to avoid gossip, especially with her...situation. Thankfully no one but herself and her family knew, and Nessarose wasn't due to come until the next year.

"--- E-Elsa..."
Her breath catches in her throat and chains the words there; too tightly to dream of escape or anything like it. She cannot speak. How many years has it been since she has seen her sister? It has been three since she ran; but so much longer since she has laid eyes upon her sibling.
"I -- I'm sorry."
