accomplishment: i gained three thousand followers friends on tumblr! i can't believe it! and i also gained so much more self-confidence this year, i realized that i love myself and i'm cute af :) how old did you turn: i'm turning fifteen on the 29th! three more days!!! lesson learned: it's okay to separate from friendships if they aren't working out, do what makes you happy best memory: seeing my best friend, maddie, in august. she lives in arizona so i hardly see her and it was an awesome weekend :) something you changed for the good: my sleeping schedule LOL new thing you learned about yourself: i learned that i have a gift, and that gift is art new friends: tatyanna, kenadi swagmaster3000, natalie, and so many others! best new purchase: my cleanser and toner from lush, i started using it and now my zits are almost completely gone and my skin has never looked better tbh favorite blog of the year: don't make me choose!! but i have to say yawnist, navynonsense, condoles, beauwang, perhpetual, and ugh so many more!! any last words for 2014: peace out, time to move on to new adventures :)

ikr why is anyone against feminism?? but when women are against feminism i just feel like????? ????++?+??

i was looking at a buzzfeed post about anti-feminist women, and i think it all boils down to misunderstanding. out of fourteen girls; 7 claimed they didn't need it because they weren't victims, 8 said they respected men/wanted equality for all, 2 said they weren't bitches, one said she didn't need to be empowered, and one claimed she wasn't a misogynist??

a feminist is "someone who beleives in the in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes" not someone who plays a victim. not a woman who believes her sex is the superior one. SOMEONE WHO BELIEVES IN EQUALITY FOR ALL. 

a few years ago, taylor swift was asked if she was a feminist. she responded "I don't really think about things as guys versus girls. I never have. I was raised by parents who brought me up to think if you work as hard as guys, you can go far in life." It's clear she didn't understand what a feminist WAS. However, recently, there's been alot of positive things in the media towards feminism. Taylor recently said “As a teenager, I didn’t understand that saying you’re a feminist is just saying that you hope women and men will have equal rights and equal opportunities. What it seemed to me, the way it was phrased in culture, society, was that you hate men. And now, I think a lot of girls have had a feminist awakening because they understand what the word means. For so long it’s been made to seem like something where you’d picket against the opposite sex, whereas it’s not about that at all. Becoming friends with Lena – without her preaching to me, but just seeing why she believes what she believes, why she says what she says, why she stands for what she stands for – has made me realize that I’ve been taking a feminist stance without actually saying so.”

My point to this is: many women who claim they're not feminists are the exact definition OF A FEMINIST. There's been alot of confusion in the past, and now the word itself has a negative stigma. Luckilly, there's been some important clarifications that hopefully will remind people that ANYONE WHO BELEIVES IN EQUAL RIGHTS IS A FEMINIST.
