Dog Days
I have a thirteen-week old puppy. He's totally chill, until he's not.
So now that he's had all his vaccinations, I've been touring some of the local doggie hot spots - looking for that perfect place for him to burn off all that puppy energy. We've visited two bona fide dog parks, both with fenced-in areas for the pooches to play. The only problem is that the fenced-in areas are just so very, um, fenced-in.
Lucky for us, though, there are a couple of nearby spots that feel just a bit more wild, and where the other dogs - even those that are off-leash - play nice with my little guy! Beaver Brook Reservation's southern section is right on the Belmont/Waltham line, while Cat Rock Park is right on the Waltham/Weston line. Both seem much more our speed, or maybe I'm just projecting my love of exploring the outdoors onto my unknowing pup?
