One of my favorite photos of Ram Dass, who passed away yesterday. . Born Richard Alpert in a well-to-do family, he was well educated and taught at Harvard in the early sixties. He was a searcher that eventually traveled to India and found a way to understand God that he understood. Much like his books are to me. I have well worn copies of “Be here Now” and “Polishing the Mirror”, but my favorite is “How can I Help?”, which is a book about being of service. . This was a good guy that admitted his faults, and said that he was only a window, not a guru or not even a teacher. He said that we’re all just walking each other home and that everyone you meet is just God in drag. . This way of conveying information, someone like me could understand. . Safe landings Richard.
