What is your favorite piece of instrumental music? THIS IS TOO HARD. It really would depend on my mood. Probably something by Ravel or Debussy. I like plinky stuff best.
What was your favorite candy as a child? Do you have a different favorite? When I was very young I LOVED orange tic tacs. Now it would probably be just plain dark chocolate. mmm.
What’s one place in the world you HAVE to visit before you die? I don't really feel this way about any particular place. I just want to see as much as possible, and nothing takes much precedence over anything else. I would very very very much like to see the northern lights though.
Have you ever felt all gushy and transcendental about nature? What place/landmark inspired you to feel that way? Not really? Having grown up near the Adirondacks and spent nearly every summer of my life at camp, I probably take nature for granted a bit. I think it's beautiful but I'm much more inspired by space than earth.
What is your favorite language to hear other people speak? Probably French. Helps that I can follow along a bit.
If you had money to donate to any of your previous schools, what would you want them to spend it on? I donate money to my high school each year (it's independently funded) and I wish they'd prioritize building a new art center. If I'm ever, like, rich enough to have a building named for me, that's the building I'd back.
If you want children, do you have any potential names in mind? If you don’t want children, do you have any pet names in mind? If you never want a pet, what kind of pet would you like me to name after you (hypothetically. I’m not making any promises) This question is adorably worded. I'm not sure that I want children, but if I have them I'd like to name my daughter(s) for two of my grandmothers, Edith and Stella. I like that they're old fashioned names. I've always liked the name James for a boy, but in the end I'm a lot more open about what to name my son.

This question is boring, but I always love hearing about people’s pet peeves. What are yours? when people get on the train before letting other people off, grammar and spelling mistakes that indicate that the person doesn't actually know what they're saying, people projecting their morals or religion onto others
