So, Hades 2 is a disaster and I am tired of pretending it is not
Spoilers under cut, talking mostly about Hypnos
From the start you have remarks about Hypnos, little things that make you think of a certain way it all could go
For me it was that he would have a bigger role for once - not save the day deal, but enough to prove himself as a god to others and especialy Nyx. Melinoe is goddess of nightmares, and those only begin when one fall asleeps to the domain Hypnos has.
What I imagined was simple: Melinoe can't kill Time pernamently, but his biggest nightmare is being defeated. And of course, how do you get to that point? You have to make him unable to fight back. Before he was cut up and thrown around in Tartarus, now he could have been put to sleep by Hypnos and whenever Melinoe felt like it she could just- yk, used her fucking domain- give him nightmares and endlessly defeat him.
You can replay the game like this, you have a good ending and conclusion and just makes no one upset.
Hypnos has a whole AREA for himself and a big dream landscape. Him being woken up and then teleporting feels lazy. It feels rushed and stupid.
The ending we got makes no fucking sense.
Zagreus chosing Chronos the same guy who took his entire family + made Melinoe alone basically, ruined his home and hurt so many people gets a slap on the wrist, but Melinoe gets fucked over and has to forgive him, because Chronos was good to Zag in a dream once??? Get real.
The ending makes no sense, there are plotholes when you think about how Hekate (who is failed timeline Melinoe) took Hypnos "cause he was there"? If Hekate was waiting eons for Melinoe, and did know the other characters.. wouldn't she know a thing or two about him making the house fall asleep???? Like sure she didn't know how to wake him up BUT she still took him and definitely had a plan. It makes no sense to me aaaa

nice little quarantine haul. the neo zone t version comes with so much stuff, my n and c versions got lost in the mail so i’ll have to buy those again at some point. i have a signed version of continuous coming too but this was all a nice surprise to wake up to
