Philly Cheese Steak Stromboli is a delicious twist on the classic Philly cheese steak sandwich. Tender beef, sautéed bell peppers, onions, and melted provolone cheese are rolled up in pizza dough and baked until golden brown and crispy. It's a crowd-pleasing dish that's perfect for a casual dinner or game day snack.
Ingredients: 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced. 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced. 1 onion, thinly sliced. 2 cups shredded provolone cheese. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 pound pizza dough.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 400F 200C. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add beef slices and cook until browned. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add sliced bell pepper and onion to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender and beef is cooked through. On a lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough into a rectangle. Spread the cooked beef, bell pepper, and onion mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese over the beef mixture. Starting from one of the long sides, tightly roll the dough into a log shape, enclosing the filling. Place the stromboli seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Using a sharp knife, make several diagonal slashes across the top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape during baking. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the stromboli is golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
