You were looking around to find Bucky for what felt like forever. You finally had a moment to yourself and wanted nothing more than to either sit in silence with Bucky, talk with him, or literally just do anything with Bucky you just wanted to be with him.
You’ve checked his room, the gym, the living room, the kitchen, even the roof and you couldn’t find him anywhere. Giving up and retreating to your safe spot, you went to the room that was next to yours. When you moved into the tower, you brought so many books that Tony insisted that you needed a separate room just for the books. You loved your mini library and would stay in there all day if you could.
You opened the door and your eyes widened in surprise as your gaze found Bucky sitting in your favorite, large reading chair. In his hand, was Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas and you stood in the door way staring almost drooling.
“Oh, hey doll. Hope you don’t mind I came in here. I know you loved this book, I kinda know the plot from you talking about it and I was bored, so I thought I’d read it.” Bucky explained, doing his nervous rambling he seemed to only do around you. He watched as you stood in the door way with an unreadable look on your face.
But you were not upset. Not in the slightest. You were honestly kind of turned on at the sight of Bucky holding your book gently in his huge hand. He was sitting in your chair that usually swallowed you whole, but his thighs were spread apart in a confident position and the chair seemed to fit him perfectly.
You shook your head a little to shake off the daze he seemed to have you in and stepped fully inside the room and started to look for the book you were currently reading.
“I don’t mind at all. I think you’ll like that book.” You said to him. You glanced over to him sitting and reading your book and looked back to the shelf to scan.
“Is this the book that you like the guy?” He asked a little quieter.
“Hunt? Oh yeah. One of my top book boyfriends. I love him.” You nodded as you finally found the book you were looking for and grabbed it.
“Egh. He’s not that great. You’re too good for him anyways.” He grumbled.
You let out a laugh and walked towards the only chair in the room, in which he was sitting. He patted his thigh in gesture for you to sit on his lap. He could se the hesitation in your eyes as you looked as his lap.
“I’m afraid I’ll crush you.” You said slowly.
“Doll, super soldier serum remember? My body doesn’t go numb anymore. Also, I work out everyday. I can squat you and Parker for a warm up.” He smirked up at you.
You rolled your eyes and then glanced at him one more time just to make sure. He nodded at you and you maneuvered yourself in the crook of his arm and a little side ways so you could put your feet between his spread thighs.
You opened your book and then mumbled, “If I hurt you let me know, please.”
Bucky let out a huff and said, “You won’t I promise.”
You started to relax and leaned into him unconsciously and he gave a little smile.
Little did you both know, that reading in the same chair would become such a pattern that if you didn’t do it each day, you would feel as though something very important was missing.
