❛ so you can get faster to me? ❜ that was not what he was supposed to ask, eyes too focused on the road now and he wants to die on that spot. ❛ to the graveyard, whatever.. ❜ it's too late to save himself now, get him out of this and try to take his words back but he plays it cool. ❛ car is just waste of money, walking is good so stick to walking.. besides if you need a ride somewhere far.. ❜ and with that he meant "you have me" but he doesn't say that, he never would..
The phrasing of that line catches him off guard enough that he simply... stares at the other for a while. A full minute, where he forgets to reply to all he’s said because the first line passed his lips had given him a heart attack.
'To me’ he’d said. Res swallows, turns away. Does he even have the slightest idea that he didn’t just hit the nail on its head, but absolutely hammered it through the fucking floor?
“Got it,” he salutes, manages a chuckle at the other’s suggestions - although ‘stick to walking’ sounds more like an order, but Res is... he has a soft spot, alright, besides he’s basically offering him to drive him places, so - and then proceeds to shift in his seat, as if trying to get more comfortable will save him from addressing what he wants to address.
Why does he even want to?Simple. Res doesn’t like mind games. He looks out the window, out the windshield again, seems to be a bit fidgety, shrugs again and decides to look straight ahead. Ever since meeting Nox, he’s often forgotten to stop at the tombstones... preferring to keep on the lookout for the other’s silhouette among them.
Yep. To him, more than to the graveyard.Jesus. What’s he doing? It makes him laugh, a small, warm chuckle as he leans back in the seat again and relaxes with a sigh shortly after.“You’re nice company, you know?” he doesn’t turn to look, another shrug.“But don’t worry, I have a route planned out and everything. I can get to you at a pretty good pace.”
