There are three main reasons I wouldn’t use AI in witchcraft

1. By using most AI’s, you are effectively stealing other peoples art, words and thought processes. These are things I don’t want for my craft or my karmic credit.

2. AI is using up natural resources at alarming rates. Wichtes beware: even if you are a technology or digital witch, exploiting and destroying the planet shouldn’t be things you do lightly. There are more resource efficient ways to structure your practice.

3. We all know who makes money on AI and it’s not the good guys. It’s people who destroy our plant in other ways right now. The one’s who quite literally would love to see most of us dead or financially and intellectually enslaved, which kind of brings me to a next point:

3b These are the exact people who relish in the fact that using AI literally makes us dumber, less creative and dependent on them! They weaken our spirits as we talk! There’s studies on this you are welcome to look up for yourself! If witches don’t use our own (critical) thinking skills, who will?

So both within my practice and my regular life, I don’t use AI unless I have to. As a witch, I am aware of my surroundings and the effects of my doing. I inform myself on the consequences certain tools might have before using them. I don’t follow trends lightly.

I also believe in Karma, spiritual justice or whatever you might call it. Looking back at my arguments above, I don’t think using AI will do me or you any good.

So here’s my advice instead: next time you find your (possibly already addicted) brain leading you to an AI, pause a minute, take a breath and then ask your friends or witchcraft bloggers instead. Commission an artist.

There are plenty of people out there doing art or giving out spells for free for the Gods sake. Strengthen community, strengthen your own spirit and skills.

Or use your funny billionaire funded and funding creativity extermination machine and see where it gets you - and all of us.

The discourse I’ve seen on using AI has kind of been luke-warm, so I wanted to add my thoughts. Is there nuance? There always is. That doesn’t mean it’s right, guys, come on. We live in times of war and resource extraction, but not all is lost. Don’t give up your agencies, take responsibility for your actions! Only because you don’t see an AI controlled robot giving cash to Musky Man or pushing children into Kobalt mines doesn’t mean it isn’t effectively happening!

a simple self love spell

what you’ll need:

a cinnamon stick

a goblet or a wine glass

some kind of a strawberry drink, I used strawberry champagne but you can use anything you have access to.

a pink candle

your favorite crystal, you can replace it with an object if you dont have any crystals

any kind of non toxic cleansing method you have

method:

start by lighting your candle and cleansing your goblet. take your cinnamon stick and carve a message or a sigil. i decided to write the words “i love myself”. 

pour your drink in the goblet and start stirring it counter-clockwise while chanting “i banish all hatred towards myself” until it feels enough. 

stir clockwise and chant “i welcome only love and contentment towards myself” again, until it feels enough. 

hold onto your crystal or object and say “with each sip, i destroy all self hatred and let nothing but love flow into my body” 

drink your beverage slowly, visioning the love flowing into your body and driving out all the negative feelings you have towards yourself.

intention

remove self doubt, negative self talk, self deprivation, release all negative, lack mindsets

bring in positivity, abundant mindset, think optimistically, bring in success, prosperity, motivation, energy, confidence

affirmations

I radiate Divine Energy.

I am abundant in all areas of life.

I root myself in my power.

I manifest everything that i desire easily.

what is meant for me will find a way.

It is easy for me to get what i want.

my self care is important to me.

I invite love, wealth, prosperity, and security into my life.

- gather tools

- take a shower

- light your incense

- wear anything that makes you feel powerful

- write down what you wish to release on a piece of paper

- crack a window

- choose crystals that correlate with what you wish to achieve and form in a circle on your altar

- cast your circle

- light a white candle

- recite releasing intentions/affirmations

- fold paper away from you a few times

- burn over white candle flame for purification

- release ashes out the window

- recite affirmations of what you wish to bring in now that you’ve released what you’ve wanted

- and so it is

- thank your tools

- snuff candle

- close window

- thank your circle and formally close it

Beginner witchcraft spell books share a bunch of spells that are usually a little complicated, or require loads of ingredients, herbs, crystals, tools, etc. They're normally quite visually loud and fanciful, which don't get me wrong, I love and many of us do. But what I find isn't considered enough is that these sorts of spells are actually quite inaccessible for many beginners. If you're just starting out on a brand new spiritual journey, would you really want to go out and spend a whole bunch of £££ before you even actually cast a spell? Will you want to even perform magic that someone you know could easily question you about? Maybe you'd prefer to practice quietly for the meantime, whilst you're testing out whether you actually like this path or not. In my latest video I give 5 spells in accordance with these things. Super simple and easy spells that any beginner can practice and adapt to their own preference.

Hey witchy friends! After posting about the different crystals you can use in self love work, I thought I’d make a post on the different herbs and flowers you can use too! 🌺

Here’s some tips (including allergy and safety information):

~Allergies and Safety:

Always, always, always do your research! Be careful with herbs and flowers, especially if you are using them in baths, teas, or for other internal and external uses. Many flowers such as hyacinth and daffodils can be toxic, so only use them on your altars or for any spellwork that doesn’t involve eating these or putting them directly on your skin. Even if something is safe to eat or use in a soak, check that you aren’t allergic first.

To do this, make sure you know the family your allergies come from. For instance, if you are allergic to ragweed, don’t use mugwort and be careful with chamomile, yarrow, and other plants in this family. Secondly, if you are making a bath soak or tea with an herb and you want to test if you’re allergic, brew a small amount of the herb in hot water and test it out on a small patch of skin, such as on your arm. Wait at least an hour to see if any reactions occur. There’s plenty more information on how to safely test for allergies and general plant allergy information online. Of course, you can always chat with your doctor as well! Be safe out there!

~Uses of Herbs and Flowers:

Bath soaks, tea blends, jar spells, and sachet magick or pouches are all popular options for self love spells. When working with these plants, correspondences are helpful but ultimately feel free to choose what feels right to you (again, safely!). Connect with the energies of the plants before and as you’re using them.

For these uses, add crystals, objects, and colors that might relate to self love. For example, if you’re making a self-love sachet, perhaps use a pink bag and include a rose quartz or try lighting pink candles while you soak in your self-love bath.

In the future, I’ll be posting some of my favorite tea blends and spell instructions related to these herbs and flowers, so stay tuned for that! As always, there’s plenty more information to be found online and in related books, this is mainly a simple guide for beginners.🌸
