Beginners fashion design: Finding inspiration
As a fashion designer, it’s important to develop up a concept. A concept for your design is the starting point. It helps with your ideas with coming to life. So how do you go about finding meaning and inspiration for your concept? What happens if you have designers block and can’t think of anything. If you're interested in fashion and want to become a designer. I recommend these tips:

1. Have a sketchbook and draw in it as frequently as possible.
To be honest this is something that I struggle with myself but it’s important if you draw in your sketchbook every day if possible. The more you do it, the easier it gets. Yeah, some will be meh but eventually, it'll turn out better.
2. Use social media sites
Social sites are great for providing images and ideas if you're in a pitch. I, myself am very fond of pinterest when trying to generate ideas, it's just so easy. When you click on a picture there are other pictures that are linked to that picture. Plus, many more images and ideas on pinterest that can help you generate ideas, you'd be surprised. And then you can have folders in pinterest of the images that you're interested in. Instagram is also great for seeing other people's ideas and designs, that can really motivate you to create your own creation.

3. This is a little old fashion but going to the library
No, don't think that way, the library isn't a boring place. To find interesting history about how materials are made and how you can incorporate them into your design. Libraries filled with millions of books waiting for you to discover them and read them. Yes, a library is a wonderous place. Go to the arts and media section, you'll be able to see everything and anything about the arts that can help with your concept.
4. For fashion designers, draping, draping, draping
If you're trying to think of a new silhouette, sample draping is the way to go. What is draping? In brief terms, it's kind of like sculpting yet with fabric but in order to do this, it's best that you know your basics first.
So those are some of the things that help me with inspiration when I'm trying to think of a concept for my projects. If you're a beginner and interested in fashion I would try these things out. I definitely recommend you work on them every day.
