Episode 51: ...And Justice For All
Episode 51: …And Justice For All
There’s no question that there have been incredible innovations in the ways in which scientists and law enforcement gather and present evidence for trial. Expert testimony has become an almost indispensable aspect of legal proceedings. We should consider that, perhaps, we are blurring the line between circumstantial and scientific evidence. Is this a new phenomenon? Hardly. Spectral evidence has…

Report of Psychological Assessment
@judaswasaliar
For you I typed it all up as an actual report, but please remember this all based on hypothetical judgement.
NAME: Judas D.O.B: Unknown AGE: Unknown
DATE OF REPORT: 08/08/2016
IDENTIFYING DATA AND REASON FOR REFERRAL: Judas is a Caucasian male in his early 30’s, who was referred for a psychological evaluation to determine his current cognitive and emotional status.
SOURCES OF INFORMATION: Current status of his behavior was obtained from observation during the multiple encounters via online discussions.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Remains unknown.
BEHAVIOR OBSERVATIONS
Testing Behavior: Judas is an attractive young man, who readily established communication while maintaining a certain barrier of space, keeping his words sharp he openly displayed a mild frustration when concern was shown for his disposition. Upon delivering a positive comment on his physical self he immediately expressed his agitation.
Yet, he became engaged and more alert when tasks challenged his interests and capability. Judas responds well to structure and boundaries, expressing interest in common hobbies but still maintains some distance on chat room discussions.
Emotional Personality: Many symptoms of anxiety, tension, worries and sleep difficulties were noted. Many of his interpersonal relationships tend to be superficial and he uses somatic complaints to get attention. He is assertive and attempts to control others directly, openly expressing his negative feelings.
He likes to place himself in isolation, possibly due to his scientific work there’s more comfort in pre-predicted variables and solid solutions where with people, there is unpredictable human nature. There is evidence of weak ego development and some inhibition of aggression. He has difficulty with authority and yet fails to stand up for certain needs.
Confrontational or insight-oriented therapy may be resisted. An approach that focuses on building stress management skills should be considered. There was no overt psychopathology observed at this time. However, indications of depression and anxiety are prevalent and should be a consideration during treatment.
@rruiner
Okay so after some hard thinking I decided that I’m not going to use any big psych terms because well…I don’t want you feeling lost in translation. With that said, here is your profile!
Vincent is a male in his mid thirties, possibly early forties for a final estimation. Without a permanent place of residence, Vincent travels constantly until he finds a small and suitable area to hold up and rest in.
Tight, confined spaces seem to work well over big and crowded spots. Too many people in an over sized area creates an overabundance of noise, which due to Vincent’s hypersensitive hearing it acts as a stressor, and with a major language barrier it only adds on, possibly trggering anxiety or he may suffer from panic attacks.
Thus being said, it’s possible Vincent could suffer from mild to possibly severe delusions of paranoia, keeping even the closest people in his private social circle at a distance. I’ve noticed in our encounters, he’s extremely weary of me still, and I believe it has something to do with my doctorate title or my work in general.
I think at one point he was severely mistreated by a medical facility or an authoritative figure, which would also provide another reason as to why Vincent forces himself into a state of isolation. There are some positive aspects though. If he is able to sustain a daily routine, it provides a level mind and he can then focus on a range of tasks such as; maintaining a variety of potted plant life, tending to the homeless by passing out whatever necessities he happens to collect.
He also has intelligence and is willing to learn new things, which leads me to believe that libraries are a common stomping ground that also supply him with free outlets to social media. For Vincent, social media helps him feel secure enough to socialize, share common interests with others as well as adding in his own opinions.
If he’s experiencing a bad day, he might appear flustered and disorganized, resorting to low energy levels and presumably under severe circumstances, Vincent uses self harm as a negative release or a habit to cope...I haven’t witnessed a major breakdown period so this is at best an assumption.
