Dizzy loved making new friends, and it was even better when they loved fashion as much as she did. “I did most of it, but Evie helped a little bit. Her drive and love for her characters is awe inspiring. Not to mention she’s a phenomenal writer with wonderful creativity. he’d made himself SICK upon first arrival in AURADON — he and CARLOS both had. they’d been HUNGRY most of their lives, and for the first time — in JAY’S case, anyway — there was a SURPLUS of food that didn’t need to be worked for. in all of their cases, there was FINALLY food that wasn’t at least half ROTTEN or STALE or just plain BAD. and they’d sure-as-evil indulged, and they’d all PUKED out their guts in the bathrooms barely two days in. his stomach was BETTER now, and he could pretty much EAT anything he WANTED — though he had finally, TRULY, discovered that he was ALLERGIC to shellfish — but the sheer VOLUME of the food still made him nervous. ❝ aren’t they gonna be MAD that you’re using this much of the FOOD just to cook some snacks? ❞

NINA NEVER THOUGHT HERSELF VERY ISOLATED UNTIL HER ARRIVAL. auradon prep is so tightly packed with teenagers, younger and older and so loud and so...obnoxious. how these people manage such a carefree facade at all times is beyond her. are their lives truly so perfect that they have never suffered, or do they hide behind fake smiles and luxury? is the isle of the lost the source of all pain and misery in this land? WHAT IS ALMOST MORE CONFUSING IS THEIR SCHOOL’S LAYOUT. on this day alone, she’s completely lost her way and cannot seem to find her dorm room. too many rounded corners, and she’s found herself in the library of all places. resigning herself to her fate, she taps the nearest shoulder to question them, and hopes they do not run from her upon seeing her face. “hi, uh, do you think you can point me to the dorms?”

12. How are they bodily expressive? How do they use nonverbal cues such as their posture, stance, eyes, eyebrows, mouths, and hands?
Emily walks pretty tall and has decent posture, but if she’s walking by herself or during awkward silences, she spends a lot of the time looking at the ground, just glancing up to see where she’s going.
When she’s really strongly feeling something (anger, excitement, frustration, etc) she tends to move around a lot, her voice gets louder, and she moves her hands to be really big gestures.
Her nostrils also flare a lot when she’s really mad.
41. What associations do they bring to mind? Words or phrases, images, metaphors or motifs? Why?
Something that comes to mind when I think of Emily is strength. There are so many times in her life when she feels like she’s being beaten down, and while it’s tempting to stay down, she always pulls herself back up.
