"Pops!" Reggie called, bringing in the basket. "Lookit what someone dropped us!"
The lad beamed, bouncing on his heels as he held up the basket. "Lookit!"
"A'right, a'right, hang on there, champ. Let me see," Bonely chuffed and looked over into the basket. "What in the world? Colored eggs? What the heck lays colored eggs?"
Lenar slunk into the flat and leaned against the kitchen doorway. "An earth thing called an 'Easter Bunny' apparently."
Bonley squinted at him and then at the eggs. "Easter Bunny? What—? Must be related teh the jackalope and echidna. Huh! Pretty neat though!"
Taking the basket from his youngest, Stan crossed over to the counter by the stove and examined the eggs. "A'right, well, I've only ever seen white 'n' brown eggs. Let's see if these ones taste as good as those!"
